During Milan’s Design Week 2024 – from April 10th to May 10th – CZA Cino Zucchi Architetti hosts an exhibition showcasing the design of the sacred furnishings in the “Christ’s Resurrection” Church in Sesto San Giovanni we realized several years ago.

Located at our studio at Via Revere 8, Milan, the exhibition offers a specific insight on the bespoke approach we employ at very different design themes and scales, ranging from masterplans to interior design.

In the friendly atelier-workshop character of our daily work environment, the visitors are welcomed to explore the development of a challenging design theme through scale models, photographs and sketches: the one of finding the proper form of religious “outils” whose symbolic attributes go well beyond their functional ones. The iconic attributes of an altar, a baptismal font, a pulpit or a tabernacle have a well-established history through classical times, but still represent a difficult task for our “abstract” age.

In the same time lapse of “Sacred Stones”, our spaces in via Revere will host “Capricci”, an exhibition displaying original artworks especially realized by Lisa Ivory, one of the most interesting figures of present-day European art. Although distinct in theme and format, both exhibitions will highlighting CZA’s longstanding interest in cultural and artistic contaminations beyond the traditional realms of architecture and design.
