“Every object has a story to tell and part of that story always involves someone”.
Raccontare una storia è il fondamento delle collezioni di pezzi unici firmati Manoteca. Nel laboratorio di Bologna si selezionano oggetti speciali del passato, dall’importante valore storico sociale, per poi modificarne la forma e reinventarne l’utilizzo. Sono tutte opere dallo spiccato senso estetico, in bilico tra il design funzionale e l’arte, completamente fatte a mano e trattate con vernici naturali, attualmente presenti a New York, Las Vegas, Seoul, Hong Kong e Singapore. Oggetti provenienti da un passato remoto e destinati a un presente perfetto.
A pochi metri dalla fermata Moscova gli oggetti risignificati di MANOTECA si fondono a una fiabesca installazione. In occasione di Fuorisalone 2014 sarà presente un estratto di in mobile carta ( installazione sonora interattiva precedentemente allestita al Museo internazionale della Musica 2013 ). I visitatori saranno invitati a suonare un insolito pianoforte firmato Manoteca, circondato da sciami di farfalle origami. Siamo lieti di invitarvi all’evento in programma per giovedì 10 aprile dalle 19.00 alle 23.00 con pianista e degustazione di tortellini a cura de IL CALCAGNINO (Modena).
A few metres from the Moscova metro station, the items recovered and re-signified by MANOTECA blend in a fairytale installation. Manoteca produces fully handmade one-off furniture pieces, which are treated with natural paints. All pieces have a strong aesthetic sense, in subtle balance between functional design and art and are presently shown in New York, Las Vegas, Seoul, Hong Kong and Singapore. In this occasion we’ll present an extract of the installation IN MOBILE CARTA (International Museum of Music, 2013), where visitors will be invited to play an extremely unusual piano. We are pleased to invite you to the event scheduled for Thursday, April 10th from 19.00 to 23.00, with a piano player and a exquisite taste of tortellini offered by Il Calcagnino (Modena).

Telling stories is the fundamental feature of the one-off collection designed by Manoteca. Special objects from the past, with an important historical and social value, are selected, re-shaped and re-invented in the workshop of Bologna. All pieces have a strong aesthetic sense, in subtle balance between functional design and art. Fully handmade and treated with natural paints, MANOTECA’s one of a kind pieces are objects from a distant past, intended for a perfect present.
