The design exhibition of DRESSING THE LIGHT, CAPOTTINO and WHEEL OF NUTRITION at Atelier Yooj

Description
Atelier Yooj is located in Milan's Navigli neighborhood, and is the place where the designer Jeong-Ah Yoo gives life to unique and elegant wedding dresses. For this year's salone dei Mobili, she made a decision to contribute toward the event through her atelier. She will exhibit in her space three works 'DRESSING THE LIGHT' , 'CAPOTTINO' and 'WHEEL OF NUTRITION' by four designers who met in Milan and inspired her creativity and emotion.

+ DRESSING THE LIGHT
Concept
Lights dressed in high fashion.
Axo Light and the Japanese designers Yuuka Miyazono and Ryosuke Fukusada present the exhibition Dressing the Light, an event that showcases a collection of lights ‘dressed’ in sartorial details inspired by high fashion.

Each light becomes a high fashion outfit sewn around the lamp. Lamp shades of various sizes are dressed with hand sewn fabrics and finished with beautiful buttons, button holes,  visible stitching and – as in the world of children's dolls – you can change and alter the ‘dresses’ as you want.

The result is an extremely elegant exhibition with little designer masterpieces and meticulously chosen fabrics and accessories. Refined pieces with a touch of irony that immediately evoke empathy and become objects of desire.

Dressing and re-dressing your light can become an enjoyable game that speaks volumes about your personality. It echoes the daily act of dressing oneself – something that is a routine but that is also a complete expression of our way of being.

+ CAPOTTINO
Concept
‘Saudade’ It is known as a word to express nostalgia. However, it also signifies your fond memories from the past.
The joyful and worry-free times of childhood. Times that are hard to re-live in your adulthood. Therefore, kids'clothes bring you back to those childhood memories. They do not only make you remember your enviable past, but will also brighten your daily life hereafter. This thought is also reflected in the buttons. Since you live in a tiny world in your childhood, you can be more creative in your casual days. For instance, little plans, stones or plastic pieces on a ground can be the treasure by collecting them. The pieces of this sort of memory are put into the buttons.
